I had been dreaming of my own Woodfired kiln for a long time, because I think wood-fired ceramics is the most authentic and unique way of making ceramic products. I laid the foundations for my own burning stove roof in Vaasa's Tervajoki in 2011, after which I have built the roof little by little over the years. In 2018, I started building the kiln myself, and my aim would be to get the first batch of ceramics into the kiln at the end of 2020. However, the first firing took place in the spring of 2021. Although the first firing did not succeed perfectly, I was still satisfied with some of the products.

When the kiln is finished, I will also start making new types of ceramics. In addition, I am planning wood burning pottery courses at my home in Tervajoki.
